Discover the history of a resilient neighborhood in Stockton's east side known as el Barrio del Chivo (Goat Valley) through a collection of photographs, narratives, video and maps. this was an area redeveloped by the City of Stockton designed to eliminate what the City considered to be a "slum area." The City's plan was opposed by many residents who lived in the area. the resident's claimed human values were ignored, and wanted the opportunity to improve the area themselves.
